Day in and day out, without exaggeration, millions of players use the Steam platform. However, most Steam users are totally in the dark about everything this platform can do and have never even heard of Steam Card Trade!
Today, we will talk with you about what Trading Cards on Steam are, how to get them, and what interesting things they can offer you.
What Are Steam Trading Cards?
Let’s dive right into it: what exactly are Steam Trading Cards?
Steam Trading Cards are a special non-game item you can receive by playing a game. For each game, there are different cards, and you cannot combine them with each other. Then a logical question arises: what are these cards needed for at all? What do these things actually do?
The answer is pretty simple. As we said earlier, Steam is not just a platform with games. It is already a large ecosystem in which every user tries to stand out. A Steam profile is not just information about you. It is an entire page with your wishes, preferences, awards, and more.
And Steam Trading Cards help to complement your page. For example, by collecting a set of Steam Trading Cards, you will receive experience points for your Steam profile, and you can receive interesting rewards and Steam Badges.
This brings us to the next logical question: what are these Steam Badges? Let’s take a closer look below.

You get the ability to exchange these cards for Steam Badges. Besides the badge, you also receive experience points for your Steam profile.

How Many CS2 Trading Cards and Badges are There?
Suppose you’re interested in collecting Trading Cards and creating Badges. In that case, you should know that they are different and vary from game to game, with significant differences in both their content and the available levels.
For CS2, there are five levels of Steam Badges. For each of the levels, you need to collect five different cards. You can view the list of available Badges with just one click. In the open Steam window, simply hover your mouse over your profile name, and then select “Badges” from the drop-down menu.

Here, you can create badges and add them to your profile. You can also see which cards you already have and which ones you still need.
How to Obtain Steam Trading Cards?
You can get Steam Trading Cards in different ways: you can buy the necessary cards on the Steam marketplace, you can trade them with friends, or you can simply get them by playing the game.
However, it is impossible to get all five cards from the game, so you will definitely have to obtain other cards in order to complete the set. That is why first play the game and get the cards you can. Once you see what you already have, you can then consider buying or trading for the rest of the Steam Cards.
You can usually find the most expensive Steam Trading Cards easily on the Steam Market. However, giving a round sum for the most expensive Steam Trading Cards is not always the most appealing option, so first, check if any of your friends happen to have the specific card you’re looking for.
Simply trading cards with a friend is much easier, especially since the Steam functionality allows you to see which of the Steam Cards your friends have, and you can easily create a trade offer in just a couple of clicks.
However, if none of your friends have the Steam Cards that you need and you cannot trade with them, the only way is to buy the Steam Cards, and that’s what we’ll discuss next.
How to Buy Cards on Steam
Buying Steam Trading Cards is not that difficult, however, not all newcomers know exactly how to do it.
To start, go to the “Badges” section. Here, you can select the badge you want to craft and see which card you are specifically missing. Click on the badge you want to craft to get more detailed information.
You might encounter two scenarios here:
The first scenario is when Steam allows you to buy many cards at once.

The second scenario is when Steam offers you the option to buy cards individually, one at a time. Note that the photo shows a different game. However, sometimes Steam offers this variation for CS2 as well.

Once you see either of these options, simply click the “Buy” button and complete the transaction, after which the card will be credited to your account. This usually happens instantly, but sometimes it can take up to 5 minutes.
Once you have received the card, collect the collection and receive pleasant bonuses.
How to Sell Cards Quickly on Steam?

So, as we already mentioned, you can sell Steam cards quickly and easily. You have two possible options on how to do it. The first option is using your inventory. You need to hover over your profile name, and in the pop-up menu that appears, click on “Inventory.” Once there, you need to select “Steam” and choose the extra card you want to sell.
It’ll look something like this:
