ShadowPay Skin Trading Frequently Asked Questions
- Select items you want to sell;
- Our extension or application will create a trade offer once we find you a buyer.
- You will receive sound/email/popup notifications when it happens,
- You will have 5 minutes to accept trade offer in Steam mobile app after receiving the notification.
- Open Steam mobile application, tap "Confirmations" on the main menu and select the trade.
- If you do not the accept trade offer we will cancel it.
- After you accept offer, your balance on the desired website
- API key allows you to track transactions in your Steam account and cancel them but does not allow you to create them on your behalf.
- The attacker cancels the transaction created using the Shadowpay Trademanager, replaces the nickname and avatar of his profile with the data of the correct recipient, and sends a counter offer.
- Without checking the reliability of the recipient, you can confirm this transaction, and it will be transferred to the scammer's account and your item will be lost.
- Shadowpay will consider this transaction incomplete because the correct recipient did not receive the goods and you will not receive your money.
- If you sent your item to a scammer, Shadowpay will not be able to return the item or add money to your account for this skin.
Your item can be transferred to a scammer exclusively on your initiative, Shadowpay Trademanager transfers the item only to the correct recipient.
There are cases when a scammer obtains a seller's "API key" and takes advantages of it:- Never give your API key to third parties and services that you do not trust!
- If you fall for the scam or/and you are experiencing similar situations or you are not sure if your account isn't compromised, update the API key to a new one here - Api key!
WARNING:
- You need to make some of your Steam profile data (your inventory, game info, profile itself) public:
a) Click "Edit Profile" on your Steam profile page.
b) Click "My Privacy Settings".
c) Set your profile, games information and inventory to "public". - Now you need to install the Steam mobile application and set up the Steam Guard Authenticator
- You will be able to trade 14 days after setting the Steam Guard up.
- You'll also need to install our browser extension or desktop application to trade on Shadowpay.

Steam Guard allows you to accept trades that only give you skins without confirming the trade in Steam mobile application. Trades in which you give out some skins however should be confirmed.
7 days after setting up Steam Guard you will be able to trade freely, until then content of your trades will be held in escrow for up to 15 days.
We calculate skin prices based on few marketplaces (including the Steam's one) so prices might differ a bit.Service fee is included in skin price reduction.
We accept almost any item above $0.10. Some items are not accepted because of their being unpopular on marketplaces.
You can only see tradable items which are not trade-locked (up to 7 days) and which could be accepted by ShadowPay.
We take 5% from selling items from the marketplace or 65% from selling items via instant sell, and 5% on each payout

Sometimes withdrawal payment processing might take up to 10 days. Please note, Tipalti processes funds only on business days, it may take up to 4 business days to fully process the transaction and up to 7 business days for funds to reflect in your bank account. Business days don’t include weekends and holidays. Crypto withdrawals may take up to 48 hours, but usually it is immediately.
You can only withdraw money obtained from selling skins. The balance received from refill could only be used to buy skins. In case such a situation appears, you need to buy items, sell them, and then you’ll be able to withdraw the funds.

We can fully return the deposit only until the funds are used for purchases. The refund can only be made to the same payment provider. Please note that money that has been credited using cryptocurrency and Pay by Zen is not refundable. We also want to mention that the request for a refund could be processed up to 10 business days.

Tipalti & PayPal fees
Tipalti doesn’t provide payments to Revolut
- Download our extension or app. Enter the correct information in your profile (email, API key, and trade link), otherwise you risk losing your items, or money for which we will not be accountable.
- You can always change your account information by clicking "Edit Profile" in your ShadowPay account. Please take note that you have to cancel all of your trades on ShadowPay.com before updating your account information, otherwise you risk losing your items, or money for which we will not be accountable.
